Auckland: understand council and local-board services

Auckland Council provides regional services such as rubbish collection, local roads, emergency management, parks, libraries and community facilities, while local boards make decisions on many neighbourhood services and activities. Start with the council's official information and identify the service relevant to your area.

Some services are delivered by council-controlled organisations or national agencies rather than the council itself. Follow the official referral and confirm the responsible provider before making an application or payment.
